"I've heard claims that religion can make you not want stuff. I have to admit, that's a pretty enticing proposition. What if I could get the same thrill I get from unboxing a new videogame console just by, I don't know, seeing a smile on an infant's face or something stupid like that? Think of all the closet space I'd have! I sometimes wonder, where are all these people who don't want material possessions? But then I realize they probably don't have broadband, so I'd never hear about them even if they did exist."
