A verdadeira descentralização...

...faz-se pela cultura, ao que parece. Bem, para aqueles que acreditam que, num país onde não é taxada com o IVA reduzido de livros ou outros bens de primeira necessidade espiritual e intelectual, a música possa ser, ainda assim, um bem cultural. Em tempos recentes tem apetecido abandonar a capital. Não de forma prolongada, porque ainda é aqui que o urbanismo fundamental à nossa decadência pós-moderna tem a sua expressão mais intensa. Mas em fugas repetidas e tão frequentes quanto possível.

A grande cidade - e aqui o Porto começa a sofrer do mesmo mal - sofre da ditadura do número. E convém acrescentar que, se esse mesmo número é benéfico noutras cidades europeias, não o parece ser aqui em Portugal. Não serve para que tenhamos a oportunidade de ver bandas que não aquelas que sempre passaram por cá ou as que figuram nos tops de venda de CD e de downloads. Porque se antes nos passavam ao lado (=Espanha) agora continuam a fazê-lo, cada vez mais perto.

Por isso se o slogan do "vá para fora cá dentro" se ajustava aos festivais de Verão, agora começa a colar-se a uma série de iniciativas descentralizadas e de valor acrescentado que vão despontando por esse mapa fora. Seja na actividade consistente da Casa das Artes, em Famalicão, ou em iniciativas pontuais de outras estruturas dispersas pelo país, os motivos para uma digressão pelo “mundo rural” proliferam.

Ou será que Portugal já não é como no tempo do Eça e toda essa “paisagem” mudou sem que os alienados se dessem conta disso? Objective-se no(a) [preencher com meio de comunicação à sua escolha, tendencialmente a televisão] o bode expiatório desejado, já que como pretensa janela para o mundo nos ocultou as frestas de outros mundos. Em qualquer dos casos, inclusive no das hipóteses não estudadas – convém deixar sempre umas … em abono da perspectiva plural e de uma opinião mutável – importa valorizar esta nova dinâmica.

E note-se ainda que falamos de música ligeira, o fast food dos espíritos contemporâneos, e talvez por isso tratada em geral segundo a mesma lógica de consumo. Talvez a responsabilidade deva ser partilhada também por quem a recebe e não somente pelos outros vértices da estrutura. Até ao dia do julgamento final organize-se a excursão e agradeça-se a quem verdadeiramente arrisca para que não se veja mais do mesmo. E pode ser que então os exemplos proliferem e deixe de ser necessário viajar para Londres, Madrid ou Barcelona em busca dessa “cultura alternativa”.

Talvez o Meds não seja o melhor dos pretextos nem o resto do cartaz o contexto preferível. Mas a Primavera está aí e há flores cujo cheiro nos remete para o desabrochar interior de outros tempos. Flores para celebrar a morte e flores mortas que retêm a essência.

Os Media e a Liberdade de eCxEpNrSeUsRsÃo

Ignacio Ramonet vem a Lisboa discutir o papel dos media e a sua relação com a liberdade de expressão. O director do jornal Le Monde Diplomatique apresenta-se dia 14, às 18h30, no Instituto Franco-Português para abordar a temática numa conferência e conta com José Paquete de Oliveira para gerir o debate subsequente. A entrada no auditório onde vai decorrer a sessão é livre.
